"It was great having Ratdog play a concert close to home, even at the height of the show. Last night's show was highlighted by some rambling monster jams that seemed to take the place of the boys getting lost in a less than inspiring set list. And playing in a boardwalk casino does make it hard to set up and run a successful Shakedown Street. There were far too many empty seats, I only wish more heads would have taken advantage of the location and venue. Now I'll go to any show that any of the boys are playing at, but the lack of focus and direction made for too many ups and downs. At times it did rock."
Video display content lacking
Upon first entering the Spectrum, the initial impression is of the impressive huge block of multi-screen video displays hanging over the court. It looks pretty state of the art, very large and bright. However, after watching 6 games there over 2 days, it became very obvious that some key technologies were lacking and it was utilized poorly.
The replays for every big play took excessively long to be shown, often during live action after the other team had moved to the opposite end of the court. It took minutes before any video reviews were shown, such as determining the last touch on the ball or a possible flagrant foul. Surprisingly, there was no possession arrow displayed on any of the screens. During a crucial held ball late in a close game, viewers had to wait for a minute to see which team the refs awarded the ball to.
As the clock ticked under 1 minute to play, it struggled to update quickly enough to display tenths of seconds smoothly, resulting in a stuttering display reminiscent of the 1980s. The decision-making process for live peeks into other Hollywood Bowl Orchestra basketball games appeared to lack basketball knowledge. For instance, showing teams during a timeout with 5 seconds left in a one-point game, continuing for a full two minutes with no action, and abruptly cutting away just as the game was about to conclude, drew more boos from the stands than any play during the game.
The halftime video segment with the game highlights was also criticized for its selection. It included clips of three average plays, cheerleaders, the band, a random fan in the stands, and a missed 3/4 court heave at the buzzer. The question of "First half highlights, really???" was raised.
Additionally, the mile-long bathroom lines were a major inconvenience, taking an excessive amount of time. Despite these issues, the stadium itself was noted for being nice, modern, and clean, with good court views.

What a fantastic show, I am not a big fan of country music, just a so-so fan, but I like the new country music, so I bought the not-so-cheap tickets. The opening acts were the best I have ever seen at ANY show, so good it could have been THE show. Darius Rucker came on and was incredible, he sang some Hootie stuff too. Jerrod Niemann rocked the crowd and ended with Lover, Lover. Purple Rain was perfect and he had a huge back screen and 2 side screens. The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra entered the stage, the crowd was worked into a frenzy. I was grateful because I had floor seats in the back and being short, watched the screens most of the show, well until he came walking back to my section, then up onto a little stage 50 feet from me. YAY!! What a show, what a show. 5 stars from a part-time country fan!! LOL, YAY!
